RFID UHF Long Range Reader is one of the most important products for Parking Management System, Vehicle Access Control, and other Long Range Identification related applications. For Vehicle Access, UHF Long Range Reader installed with Boom Barrier ensures that the UHF Tags fixed with the Vehicle should get read from a distance and open the Boom Barrier after positive verification. The solution can be integrated with further application to manage parking lots for implementing RFID Parking Management System.
Components Required – UHF Long Range Reader, IP Controllers, UHF Tags and Software.
UHF Long Range Reader – The UHF RFID Reader needs to be Pole Mounted near the Boom Barrier so that it can read the Tag Fixed with the Vehicle from a Distance. Normally UHF Readers are available in two different reading rage – 12 meter and 6 meter reading range. These readers should be minimum IP65 Rated for outdoor installations.
The UHF Reader is connected to the Controller on Wiegand. The IP Controller is further connected to the Boom Barrier and fires the relay after positive verifications of Tags opening the barrier for vehicles.
IP Controller – Controllers are the brain of the system and bridge between Reader and Barrier. All user registration happens at controller level through the software connected to it. Activation and Deactivation of users / tags can be done through this. There can be multiple features related to Parking Management and Vehicle Access Control which can be accessed and used through it. Parking Lot Display or any other kind of signals can be connected directly to the controller.
UHF Tags – There are different UHF Tags available in the market as per the requirement and applications. The most common is UHF Paper Tags or Windshield Tags. These are Sticker Tags and can be pasted on Vehicle Windshield from inside. These are Tamper Proof UHF Labels which will be damaged if removed. There are other two wheeler and metal tags also available
